This leadership role will oversee enterprise data strategy, technology operations, modernization initiatives, governance, cybersecurity, and organizational transformation efforts supporting a growing and highly visible organization. This position is ideal for a collaborative technology leader who can bridge business and technology, build trust across stakeholders, modernize systems and processes, and create a long-term vision for data and technology capabilities.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable discussing strategic priorities with executive leadership, driving operational excellence with internal teams, and translating technology investments into measurable business outcomes. Position Summary The Director of Data & Technology is responsible for leading the organization's data strategy, enterprise applications, reporting and analytics, cybersecurity coordination, vendor management, technology governance, and modernization initiatives. This leader will work closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to improve operational effectiveness, strengthen governance, establish technology roadmaps, and ensure data is leveraged as a strategic organizational asset.

The role requires a balance of strategic leadership, organizational change management, team development, vendor oversight, and technology modernization. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a long-term data and technology strategy aligned with organizational objectives. Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for modernization, innovation, and operational improvement.

Establish technology roadmaps and investment priorities. Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders regarding technology capabilities and organizational needs. Translate business goals into actionable technology and data initiatives.

Data & Analytics Lead enterprise data governance, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence efforts. Establish data quality standards, policies, and governance practices. Drive data modernization initiatives and improve organizational reporting capabilities.

Ensure data is accessible, trusted, secure, and aligned with business priorities. Support data-informed decision making across the organization. Technology Operations Oversee enterprise applications, technology operations, and vendor relationships.

Lead modernization initiatives across business-critical systems and platforms. Establish operational standards, governance processes, and performance metrics. Improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and organizational technology maturity.

Partner with internal teams to identify workflow optimization opportunities. Cybersecurity & Risk Management Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure partners to strengthen organizational security posture. Support risk management, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.

Ensure appropriate governance, controls, and policies are maintained. Participate in technology risk assessments and mitigation planning. Leadership & Organizational Development Lead, mentor, and develop technology and data professionals.

Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Foster strong relationships across departments and stakeholder groups. Improve communication and alignment between business and technology teams.

Drive organizational change management and user adoption initiatives. Governance & Portfolio Management Establish prioritization frameworks and governance processes for technology initiatives. Lead portfolio planning, project oversight, and strategic investment discussions.

Facilitate stakeholder engagement and decision-making processes. Ensure initiatives align with organizational priorities and available resources. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Data Management, or related field.

10+ years of progressive technology, data, analytics, or information systems leadership experience. Experience leading enterprise technology and data initiatives. Experience managing teams, vendors, budgets, and strategic projects.

Strong understanding of data governance, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence. Experience driving organizational change and technology modernization initiatives. Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience translating technical concepts into business outcomes. Proven ability to build trust and influence across diverse stakeholder groups. Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise data platforms, analytics, and reporting solutions.

Experience leading data warehouse, cloud, or modernization initiatives. Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce. Experience with cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management frameworks.

Experience in healthcare, membership organizations, nonprofit organizations, labor organizations, or other mission-driven environments.
