The Manager of AI Control and Controls Operation leads two subgroups: The AI Control Integration group and the AI Control Engineering group. Each group have their complementary and overlapping knowledge, and smooth operation between the two groups is paramount to the company's success.

This role ensures scalable, highquality delivery of BrainBox AI solutions by managing multidisciplinary integration and controls engineering teams, strengthening processes, and driving operational excellence across the deployment lifecycle.

You will be part of a fast-operating group that is driven by excellence and thrives in collaborative and cutting-edge work.

What you will do:

  • Manage the daily execution of integration, deployment, and project activities to ensure work stays on track, within scope, and aligned with stakeholder requirements.

  • Translate strategic direction from leadership into executable plans, schedules, and priorities for the delivery teams.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for operational or project-level issues and coordinate timely resolutions with cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain ongoing alignment with Post-Deployment, Operations, Development, Sales, and other partners to ensure smooth handoffs, clear communication, and well-coordinated integration and deployment delivery.

  • Monitor project and deployment performance using KPIs, dashboards, and timelines, and provide regular status updates to the Director and SMT.

  • Ensure delivery workflows, tools, and team practices are followed consistently and collaborate on improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

  • Support team capacity planning, skill development, training coordination, and readiness for upcoming deployment cycles.

  • Implement standardized deployment practices to ensure predictable, repeatable delivery outcomes.

  • Prepare and communicate team-level insights, risks, and performance summaries to leadership through structured reporting.

  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the delivery teams and across operational functions.

  • Work closely with the Director to forecast capacity, identify bottlenecks, and maintain deployment readiness across active and upcoming projects.

  • Work closely with the Development team to support new integration and deployment strategies

  • Identify, structure and develop AI-driven tool, processes and automation solutions to streamline and improve processes, workload management, and drive operational efficiency.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, building, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of experience in building automation, controls, HVAC systems, or technical deployment environments.

  • 2+ years of experience leading technical teams (integration, controls, commissioning, or similar), including mentorship of team leads or senior specialists.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, BMS architectures, and building controls frameworks.

  • Experience with building data integration, mapping/tagging standards (e.g., Haystack, Brick), or similar methodologies.

  • Proven ability to manage project delivery workflows, coordinate across cross-functional teams, and ensure quality and timeline adherence.

  • Demonstrated experience improving processes, optimizing delivery operations, or standardizing procedures across teams.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including customer-facing experience.

  • Ability to interpret and act on KPIs, delivery metrics, timelines, and operational dashboards.

  • Familiarity with commissioning practices, controls troubleshooting, and deployment readiness.

  • Experience with Git-based workflows, automation, or data pipelines is an asset.
