Job description

Valius overview
Valius is building the next generation of precision oncology, helping cancer patients and their physicians make more informed treatment decisions through comprehensive molecular testing and rigorous scientific analysis. In our first nine months, we've worked with close to 50 patients, identifying plausible therapeutic targets in the vast majority of cases. We've just raised a $10M seed round, led by 8VC and Basis Set Ventures, and are looking for folks passionate about changing cancer care to join our growing team.
Clinical Operations Associate role
We're looking for a Clinical Operations Associate to help power the operational engine behind our patient programs. This role is about execution excellence: coordinating tissue logistics, managing testing workflows, following through with vendors, and ensuring that every patient case moves forward accurately and on time.
You'll work with our operations leadership in a fast-moving startup environment, with significant ownership from day one. As we grow, this role has the potential to expand into broader Clinical Operations leadership.
What you'll do
  • Own patient case operations end-to-end: Track active cases, manage timelines, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks from consent through results delivery.
  • Coordinate tissue and biomarker logistics: Work with hospitals, pathology departments, and labs to retrieve, ship, and track specimens accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage vendor execution: Place test orders correctly, follow up relentlessly, troubleshoot delays, and confirm results are complete and accurate.
  • Maintain operational rigor: Ensure documentation, consent forms, and internal trackers are accurate, organized, and audit-ready.
  • Contribute across the company as needed: Pitch in on cross-functional initiatives as we scale.

What you'll bring
  • 2+ years of experience in clinical operations, clinical research coordination, oncology care coordination, lab operations, or a related healthcare setting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and follow through consistently.
  • Comfortable communicating with hospitals, labs, and cross-functional teams.
  • High agency and ownership mindset - you see tasks through to completion.
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment where flexibility and initiative are valued

Other nice to haves
  • Exposure to molecular diagnostics or biomarker testing

What we'll bring
  • Competitive salary and equity compensation
  • Generous equity refresh grants
  • Excellent health insurance (100%-subsidized premiums on Blue Shield's platinum plan)
  • Dental and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan options
  • Genuine investment in your professional development
  • Fun, mission-driven team culture
