Job description

Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish!
We are seeking a strategic and structured Program Manager to drive performance, priorities, and analytical direction across our global Distribution Center (DC) network. This role sits at the intersection of operations strategy, business insight, and cross-regional leadership - turning operational signals into clear priorities, scalable frameworks, and aligned execution.
Description
The Program Manager, DC Operations will be a key analytical and strategic voice within Apple's Distribution Center operations. This role sits at the intersection of data, storytelling, and operational excellence - transforming complex, ambiguous problems into clear insights that inform decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-moving, undefined environments. You will build and own analytics frameworks that bring visibility to DC performance, surface operational trends, and identify opportunities for improvement. You'll translate raw data into compelling narratives for leadership, and then roll up your sleeves to drive those insights into action.
Success in this role requires equal parts intellectual curiosity and interpersonal agility. You'll work across a global network of partners, teams, and stakeholders - bridging time zones, functions, and perspectives to move work forward without always having a clear roadmap. You are a self-starter who doesn't wait to be asked, and a communicator who makes complexity feel simple.
","responsibilities":"Analytics & Insights: Design, build, and maintain advanced analytics solutions to monitor DC operations performance, identify trends, and surface actionable insights. Own end-to-end data pipelines from raw inputs to executive-ready outputs. Stay current on emerging analytics and AI tools, evaluating and adopting new capabilities that meaningfully improve how the team works with data.
Leadership Storytelling: Develop and deliver high-impact presentations for senior and executive leadership, translating complex operational data into clear, compelling narratives that drive alignment and decision-making.
Operational Program Management: Lead cross-functional programs across DC operations, managing ambiguous, evolving priorities with structure and clarity. Define scope, milestones, and success metrics where none previously existed.
Global Collaboration: Partner with teams across geographies and functions - including operations, finance, engineering, and logistics - to gather inputs, align on priorities, and drive coordinated execution worldwide.
Problem Framing & Solutioning: Take ownership of unstructured, open-ended operational challenges. Define the problem, structure the analysis, and drive toward practical recommendations with a bias for action.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within DC operations, leveraging data and technology to drive efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance service levels.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Apple and external partners, ensuring alignment and clear communication across all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or MS in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Data Science, or a related field
Experience working within distribution center, fulfillment, or warehouse operations environments.
Familiarity with Apple's supply chain or operations ecosystem, or comparable experience at a large-scale global technology or retail company
Experience with machine learning, forecasting, or optimization techniques applied to operations problems
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across global teams and time zones, with strong cultural awareness and interpersonal intelligence.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS in Supply Chain, Operations, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution center operations
Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and derive insights using analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) or AI-assisted coding environments (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or equivalent) - the ability to formulate the right questions and validate outputs matters more than writing code from scratch
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
Experience building and presenting executive-level slide decks (Keynote, PowerPoint, or equivalent).
Demonstrated experience managing or contributing to cross-functional programs or projects.
Pay & Benefits

You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
