Position Summary

Allied Construction Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily roofing operations throughout Northern California. This leadership role is responsible for managing project execution, field operations, production teams, scheduling, safety compliance, budgeting, and overall operational performance.


The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive commercial roofing experience, proven operational management skills, and the ability to drive efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations for commercial roofing projects across multiple job sites

Manage project managers, superintendents, field crews, and subcontractors

Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards

Develop and improve operational processes, workflows, and field efficiencies

Coordinate manpower planning, scheduling, equipment, and material logistics

Monitor project performance, profitability, labor productivity, and job costing

Conduct regular job site visits and operational reviews

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards

Support estimating and pre-construction teams during project planning and turnover

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and manufacturers

Assist with recruiting, training, mentoring, and developing field and management staff

Resolve operational issues and provide leadership in fast-paced construction environments

Prepare operational reports and updates for executive leadership



Qualifications

7+ years of commercial roofing experience with leadership or operations management responsibilities

Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, coatings, and metal roofing

Proven experience managing multiple large-scale commercial roofing projects and teams

Strong understanding of construction operations, scheduling, budgeting, and labor management

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

Experience with project management and construction software platforms

Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Northern California

OSHA certification preferred



Preferred Experience

Experience overseeing operations for multi-crew commercial roofing companies

Background in waterproofing and restoration projects

Experience with healthcare, education, industrial, HOA, and multi-family properties

Manufacturer certifications and industry training preferred

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
