Cost Accountant
Job Title: Cost Accountant
Salary: $60K - $90K (DOE)
Location: Temple, TX (on-site position)
Requirements: B.A. in Accounting, Business, or related field / 2+ years of accounting, cost accounting, or related experience

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and analyze costing data to support business operations
  • Assist with inventory accounting and valuation activities
  • Monitor and analyze variances, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and distribute financial and operational reports
  • Research discrepancies and perform root cause analysis
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and maintain accurate financial data
  • Assist with inventory reviews, cycle counts, and related reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 2+ years of accounting, cost accounting, or related experience
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience working with inventory, costing, or manufacturing-related accounting activities is preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
