🔥 Travel RNFA – Cardiac OR

📍 Rochester, NY

We’re seeking an experienced Cardiac OR RNFA for a travel assignment in Rochester, New York. This is a great opportunity to work in a high-acuity surgical environment with a flexible schedule and strong weekly earning potential.

💼 Position Details
  • Duration: 13-week contract (option to extend)

  • Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts

    • Primarily weekdays

    • Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

  • Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

  • Setting: Cardiac Operating Room

💰 Compensation
  • $3,200 – $3,600/week (travel package)

🩺 Job Description

The RNFA will assist in cardiovascular surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons and the OR team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires advanced clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to function in a fast-paced surgical setting.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a First Assist in cardiac surgical procedures

  • Prepare and maintain sterile field during operations

  • Assist with surgical exposure, hemostasis, and suturing

  • Monitor patient status throughout procedures

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff

  • Ensure adherence to surgical protocols and safety standards

  • Document intraoperative care accurately

  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac RNFA experience

  • Active New York RN license

  • BLS & ACLS (AHA required)

  • CNOR certification required

  • Telemetry experience required

  • Strong knowledge of cardiac surgical procedures
