About the role
The Operations Assistant provides hands on administrative and operational support to a heavy industrial facility. Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, this role supports production data entry, work order processing, inventory management, and material handling activities essential to safe and efficient plant operations. The position requires comfort working in an active industrial environment, attention to detail, and the physical ability to support receiving, sampling, and logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Administrative Support
  • Enter and maintain daily production data accurately in facility systems and reports.
  • Create, update, and track work orders and service requests to support operations and maintenance teams.
  • Receive, process, and document incoming non metal deliveries (e.g., plant and office supplies).
  • Support inventory management activities, including tracking, organization, and periodic counts.

Material Handling & Plant Support
  • Physically receive inbound deliveries and safely move materials using forklifts or other material handling equipment (training/certification provided as required).
  • Perform tip floor sampling activities, including lifting and handling sample containers up to 25 lbs, in accordance with site safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure timely availability of parts and supplies.
  • Logistics & Offsite Support
  • Perform occasional offsite errands for work related needs (e.g., machine shops, suppliers, hardware stores).
  • Ensure parts and materials are picked up and delivered promptly to minimize operational downtime.

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures while working in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Participate in required safety training and consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in an industrial, warehouse, plant support, or operations assistant role preferred.

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast paced, hands on environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook; ability to learn facility systems.
  • Strong reliability, organization, and follow through.

Licenses, Driving & Physical Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, as determined by company policy and applicable law.
  • Position requires occasional offsite travel for work related errands, which may involve use of a personal vehicle.
  • Successful candidates must meet company driving eligibility requirements, including authorization for a motor vehicle record (MVR) review where job related and permitted by law.
  • Forklift capable (certification required or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around active plant operations for extended periods.

Work Environment
  • Work is performed primarily onsite in a heavy industrial facility with exposure to operational equipment, vehicle traffic, and varying environmental conditions.
  • Required use of PPE and adherence to site safety protocols at all times.

Pay Transparency
Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 25.10 - 33.37 USD per hour
