Job description

Overview
The Housing and Residence Life Office is seeking to fill one vacancy for the Residence Life Coordinator position.
Auburn University at Montgomery reserves the right once interviewing has begun to stop accepting applications.

Responsibilities
The qualified candidate will be responsible for supervising student staff in addition to the following duties:
  • Works with Associate Director and Director of Housing to support Housing operations.
  • Assist with the day-to-day administrative operations of Housing and Residence Life
  • Coordinates and enforces community standards
  • Coordinates housing program initiatives
  • Oversees RA staff recruitment and selection
  • Supervise and manage student employees
  • Supervise daily residence hall activities
  • Leads efforts to orient students and assists with housing needs.
  • Represents the department at events and activities
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in work related to student services.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Knowledge of the University's student policies and procedures and those related to assigned department Knowledge of acceptable advising techniques.
  • Knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and principles.
  • Skill in making written and oral presentations.
  • Ability to assess student progress and goals.
  • Ability to process, review, and evaluate student documents.
  • Ability to conduct student interviews.
  • Ability to provide training for participants, students, and/or clients.
