Position Overview

A growing multifamily management company is seeking an experienced and highly organized Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of The Collective Apartments in the heart of Charlotte's downtown NoDa. This role partners closely with the Property Manager to help drive occupancy, resident satisfaction, leasing performance, delinquency management, and operational execution.

The ideal candidate is resident-focused, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable working within a fast-paced multifamily environment utilizing industry-leading platforms including Yardi, CRM systems, and operational technology tools.

Key Responsibilities

Property Operations

  • Assist in the daily operations and overall performance of the apartment community
  • Support occupancy, leasing, renewal, and resident retention goals
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, company policies, and operational procedures
  • Maintain accurate resident files, lease documentation, and reporting within Yardi’s CRMIQ
  • Partner with Maintenance and onsite teams to support efficient unit turn coordination and resident communication utilizing PM software systems

Resident Relations & Customer Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
  • Professionally resolve resident concerns, escalations, and service-related issues
  • Assist with move-in, move-out, and renewal processes
  • Support online reputation management initiatives and resident engagement efforts
  • Maintain consistent communication with residents regarding balances, notices, lease obligations, and community updates

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Process rental payments, NSF activity, and delinquency follow-up within Yardi Voyager
  • Assist with collections processes, payment arrangements, and balance management
  • Support invoice processing, reporting, and month-end administrative functions
  • Maintain accuracy of resident ledgers, lease files, and operational reporting
  • Assist with vendor coordination and purchasing processes when needed

Leasing, CRM & Marketing Support

  • Conduct apartment tours and support leasing conversion goals
  • Follow up on leads and prospect communication through CRM platforms and automated lead nurturing systems
  • Assist with leasing traffic management, guest card follow-up, and application processing
  • Support community marketing efforts including social media engagement, outreach marketing, and reputation management
  • Utilize Yardi CRM, RentCafe, and lead management tools to maintain leasing performance and prospect engagement

Technology & Systems Experience Preferred

Experience with the following platforms is strongly preferred:

  • Yardi CRM IQ + 3rd Party Integrations
  • Microsoft Office Suite- Office 365

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of multifamily property management experience preferred
  • Previous Assistant Manager or high-performing Leasing Consultant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and multifamily operations
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working within property management software systems
