Description
The Assistant Hotel Controller supports the property's Director of Finance with the accounting department for the Hilton Charlotte University Place. You will manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, month-end closes, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist with P&L statements, balance sheets, and bank reconciliations.
Team Supervision: Guide and train accounting staff, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and night audit teams
Payroll Processing: Review timecards, process payroll, and ensure labor costs align with hotel budgets.
Audit & Compliance: Facilitate internal and external audits, enforce internal controls, and maintain compliance with local and state tax regulations.
Systems Management: Work with hospitality-specific software like PMS and POS integrations, alongside standard financial platforms.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management is strongly preferred.
Experience: Typically requires 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with specific background in hotel or resort operations, Assistant Controller.
