About this Position

The Imaging Center Operations Administrator is responsible for the oversight, coordination and direction of the Center's day-to-day operations in collaboration with the Imaging Center Director.  The ICOA will assist the Director with business operations for the Imaging Center to ensure appropriate education and procedures are in place for optimal clinic flow and revenue generation and manage the Center's imaging research operations. Assist with the implementation and interpretation of Center and university policies and procedures that govern clinic and research operations. Assist in marketing the Center to maintain a public relations program that serves the best interest of the Center and community.  The position will have responsibility for the outpatient diagnostic imaging program, as well as function as a senior-level coordinator for OSUBIC's research program.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • At least one (1) year of experience working in an MR facility 

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety and image collection.
  • Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management. Ideally, knowledge of accounts receivable process, insurance billing and collecting and budgets. 
  • Requires strong analytical skills, expert managerial skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem-solving skills, money handling experience, the ability to effectively plan, direct and train team members as well as develop and implement operational goals. Excellent customer service skills, advanced computer skills including EMR, Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Good written/oral communication and leadership skills are a must. 
  • Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, patients and providers.      
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's
    • Master's degree in health care administration or similar discipline
    • Minimum 5 years of medical supervisory or MRI experience.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Licensed MRI Technologist
