Job description

Operations Technician

jade owls is a fast-growing oil & gas operator built on integrity, grit, and cash flow. Since 2022, we've grown more than 65x and currently operate 13,500 BOPD across Northeast Wyoming and Oklahoma.

We're seeking an experienced Operations Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our production facilities and field equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, monitor, and maintain production facilities, equipment, and lease locations
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues to minimize downtime
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs
  • Monitor production equipment and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Collect, record, and report operational and production data accurately
  • Assist with facility startups, shutdowns, and equipment commissioning as needed
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Foremen, contractors, and Operations leadership
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and all applicable regulatory requirements, including OSHA, OCC, BIA, BLM, and applicable environmental regulations
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work locations
  • Participate in call-out rotation and respond to operational issues as needed
  • Support special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Process Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or related technical training preferred
  • Previous oil & gas, industrial maintenance, mechanical, or production operations experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Commitment to safety and ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Work Environment
  • Outdoor field work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment and H2S environments
  • Working independently more than 80% of the time
