Job description

PROJECT CREW SUPERVISOR

Summary:

The Project Crew Supervisor reports to the Project Crew Operations Manager and provides supervision and direction to the Central Division Project Crew employees, ensuring safe and effective pipeline repairs, replacements and fabrications consistent with Company policies, procedures and Government regulations. The Supervisor works with Area Management to coordinate the completion of Capital and O&M projects, provides and coordinates emergency response, and first line of contact for customers and Area employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide safe direction to employees regarding pipeline and compressor facility project work consistent with Company and Governmental requirements.
  • Participate in LO/TO and gas handling procedures for maintenance and construction projects.
  • On-Call 24/7 for emergencies or operational assistance.
  • Establish and measure Crew goals and performance.
  • Conduct personnel reviews and oversee the career planning and employee development for those employees in the Project Crew.
  • Responsible for adhering to operation and maintenance budgets and capital projects along with helping develop operating budgets for prospective areas of responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance to the Crew in establishing daily and weekly priorities.
  • Assure the Crew has the resources and information to make informed decisions regarding day-to-day operation of facilities in compliance with all Company and Regulatory requirements.
  • Enforce Company policies and procedures & ensure operations are maintained as required.
  • Assist in planning and execution of assigned projects across the Division.

Required Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or experience in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years of related pipeline industry experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the reporting work location

Preferred Skills:

Familiar with the Federal Code of Regulations as it relates to Natural Gas Pipeline Construction and Engineering.

Software Knowledge:

         Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

         Learn and become proficient in various Company programs & applications including the use of computers and smart devices

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Able to work in both office and field working conditions
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting, driving, or standing.
  • Overnight travel will be required for up to 75% of the time.
  • Subject to extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery.  Personal protective equipment is required.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
