Job description

Company Description

We're looking for someone to help support our fast growing team and our office. You'll work with our operations team to create an amazing space to work from that both looks and feels great, and run out the day-to-day and ever changing needs of the office. You'll also support our people - touching everything from travel coordination to purchasing, to improving and automating our internal systems and processes to make sure we grow smart and strong.

At Mapbox we view operations as the foundation of everything we do. Operations creates the support that lets our teamย build toolsย that have never been built before, push intoย new markets, and grow teamsย all over the world. We make sure that as we grow, our culture stays tight - we run flat, trust our teammates, push to teach and learn from each other, and aim for openness and transparency at all levels.

We're looking for someone who gets excited about creating comfortable and fun spaces, likes to bring organization to chaos, and wants to learn what it takes to support a fast growing team and company. There is huge growth potential in this role - and a lot the right person can step in and own.

Job Description
  • Run out the logistics of our San Francisco office - making the office look great every day, coordinating team lunches and events, and overall ground control.
  • Interior design and project management. We're constantly improving our space, both in construction and art projects. You'll determine what we need for our space and then get it done.
  • Purchase equipment, supplies, food, and everything we need to operate in the day-to-day.
  • Travel coordination.
  • Support our current team and help new team members learn the ropes.
  • Scale our systems - make sure everything we do is as efficient, smart, and transparent as possible.
  • Special projects. Past examples: building out aย new office, and planningย partiesย +ย conferences.

Qualifications
  • Intense attention to detail - you miss nothing.
  • Eye for spatial design - the office is yours to make a place we want to come to every day.
  • Great communicator - clear, concise, actionable.
  • Empathy - this role is all about supporting others.
  • Excellent organizational skills - we move fast and juggle competing priorities.
  • Excitement for creating a culture that pushes creativity, personal responsibility, and respect.
  • Desire to learn how to grow a startup.

This position is based in San Francisco.
