Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Senior Director, Global Sales Operations & Analytics, to develop and scale a best-in-class commercial operations function that enables sales teams to achieve profitable growth. This role drives the strategy, processes, systems, analytics, and governance required to improve sales effectiveness, forecasting accuracy, customer insights, and overall commercial performance. The position serves as a key partner to Sales Leadership, Finance, IT, and Business Intelligence teams to optimize commercial processes and support data-driven decision making.
Essential Duties and Tasks

• Lead and optimize end-to-end commercial processes, including lead management, opportunity management, quoting, forecasting, and order conversion.
• Develop and implement a global sales operations strategy that improves efficiency, scalability, and commercial performance.
• Own the CRM strategy, roadmap, governance, and user adoption across the organization.
• Establish standardized sales methodologies, pipeline stages, and forecasting processes to improve visibility and predictability.
• Drive forecasting accuracy and pipeline health through data analysis, reporting, and sales performance reviews.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, IT, and Business Intelligence teams to align systems, processes, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance by establishing standards, controls, and accountability measures.
• Design, develop, and maintain executive dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting that provide actionable business insights.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives that increase sales productivity and operational effectiveness.
• Oversee integration and optimization of CRM, ERP, analytics, and other commercial technology platforms.
• Leverage advanced analytics to evaluate customer, market, pipeline, and sales performance trends and recommend actions.
• Lead change management efforts, training programs, and governance processes to drive adoption of new tools and processes.
• Establish and monitor commercial performance metrics that support revenue growth, profitability, and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support business planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data-driven decision making across the commercial organization.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, Revenue Operations, Business Analytics, or related commercial leadership roles.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced business degree strongly preferred
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and driving cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations.
• Proven experience developing and implementing sales processes, CRM strategies, forecasting methodologies, and commercial performance management programs.
• Demonstrated success leading CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP CRM, or similar) including governance, adoption, and optimization.
• Experience designing and deploying reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics tools that support executive decision-making.
• Strong background in forecasting, pipeline management, revenue planning, and sales performance analysis.
• Experience integrating CRM, ERP, Business Intelligence, and analytics platforms to create scalable commercial processes.
• Proven track record of leading organizational change, process improvement, and technology implementation initiatives.
• Experience supporting multi-site and/or global commercial organizations preferred.

This role operates in a professional office environment that may have some exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employee is rarely exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing areas.
