Data Analyst

We are seeking creative, driven, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy tackling tough problems with data and insights. Individuals who have a natural curiosity and desire to solve problems are encouraged to apply. A Data Analyst who is skilled in interpreting data and turns it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions is required.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate to design and develop schemas and data acquisition, transformations, and data integration.
  • Develop and utilize software to interface big data and relational solutions.
  • Design and implement solutions for metadata, data quality, privacy management.
  • Support and consult with the development staff.
  • Collecting and interpreting data, analyzing results, Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business, Identifying patterns and trends in datasets.
  • Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs.
  • Develop strategic measurement strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage data integration and technology projects across the various platforms that comprise enterprise data strategy.
  • Will be responsible for preparing one or more of the deliverables required to build Business Requirement Documents for projects, including process flow, use cases and user stories.
  • Interface with Business Stakeholders and IT teams to work through the start-up phases of projects, ensuring business requirements and business acceptance documents are accurately developed.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables both short and long-term in a busy and aggressive environment, while staying flexible to dynamic needs and priority levels
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with both senior and operating level business leader. Manage agile development and delivery by collaborating with project manager, product owner and development leads.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (statistics, engineering, business analytics, information systems, aviation management or related degree)
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role
  • Expert knowledge of using cloud technologies like AWS, Google Cloud
  • Proven experience gathering and developing at requirements
  • Working knowledge of databases, SQL, and programming concepts.
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong initiative to take ownership of data-focused projects, get involved in the details of validation and testing, as well as provide a business user perspective to their work
  • Strong problem-solving skills, using data to tackle problems
  • Strong organization and project management skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts in a clear, precise and actionable manner
  • Outstanding writing, communication and presentation skills Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics role
  • Understanding of Big Data and Data Warehousing preferred
  • Experience in the travel industry, especially airline related.
