Essential Requirements 

  • Strong understanding of server, storage, and networking hardware.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, basic networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience working in data center or mission-critical environments preferred.
  • 2-3 years' experience working in data centers
  • Must be willing and able to work the 3rd shift (10pm-7am)

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with DCIM tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and monitoring platforms

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+, vendor hardware certifications)

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $66,700 - $84,800

What you'll achieve

In this position as Analyst, IT Data Center Operations, you will increase data center reliability and uptime by proactively identifying risks, executing infrastructure improvements and contributing to incident incident-prevention initiatives.  You will also enhance operational efficiency through process optimization, automation opportunities and improvements that reduce turnaround time for deployments, maintenance or troubleshooting activities. 

You will:

  • Rack, stack, install, configure, decommission, and replace servers, storage systems, and network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Perform hardware diagnostics and component-level replacements (drives, memory, power supplies, NICs).
  • Ensure equipment is installed according to data center standards and best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, application, and network connectivity issues.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory records and system documentation.
