Your role in our mission
  • Provide oversight of major infrastructure projects, including transformational projects.
  • Assist in keeping operational excellence projects moving as Gainwell helps clients deliver better health and human services outcomes through technology and innovation.
  • Focuses on delivering large infrastructure projects and on identifying ways to improve infrastructure performance and/or reduce risk and costs.
  • Lead one or more large project management teams by breaking down bigger technological programs and assisting project managers with project staffing
  • Oversee and be accountable for the Operational Excellence program.
  • Spearhead project planning, tracking and oversight of assigned staff by providing direction and deadlines to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks
  • Communicate with the client, company and project team leadership, measuring and sharing project metrics/status; recommend program changes as needed
  • Review and create project and program schedules, program definitions, budgets and objectives to ensure the quality of project deliverables across all phases
  • Support project managers and other non-direct reports by quickly escalating any risks and implementing risk mitigation solutions
  • Support Gainwell’s growth as you prepare detailed SOW and assist with new proposal efforts and business development
What we're looking for
  • 9 years or more experience managing complex projects through a full project management life cycle including supervision of project managers
  • 5 or more years’ experience working on projects leveraging AWS (AWS certification a plus)
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
  • Modern understanding of budget development, control and assurance methods, and project management software with ability to translate broader project objectives into clear and achievable project milestones
  • Leadership to train, guide and mentor the work of junior colleagues with strong executive presentation who communicates ideas clearly, while creatively problem-solving
What you should expect in this role
  • This is a full-time permanent regular salaried (W-2) employee position.
  • Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours per week).
  • Hybrid position (2-3 days each week working at our Gold River, CA office with other days working at home in California)
  • Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)

  • Company match 401K and other benefits available within months of starting.
  • New employees are eligible to take advantage of flexible vacation policy after ninety (90) calendar days of employment. Any exception requires manager approval prior to employee's Gainwell start date.
  • For all hybrid positions employees' Broadband Internet connections, should have a minimum speed of 24MBS download and 8 MBS upload.  Greater speeds will of course provide better performance.
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, and during the initial week of orientation if hired.

The pay range for this position is $92,000 - $132,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
