Regional Operations Specialist

Reports to: Regional Operations Manager, Prairies

Location: Edmonton, AB

Annual Salary: $70,000 to $75,000 based on experience

We are looking for a Regional Operations Specialist to join our Operations Team in the Prairies. This position reports to the Regional Operations Manager, Prairies and will provide high level of in-bakery operational support, training, guidance, and oversight to deliver improvements in bakery sales, operating profit and standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct regular bakery visits/assessments to evaluate franchisee compliance with merchandising, customer experience, and product quality and support implementation of changes as necessary
  • Where appropriate, provide in-bakery training and operational support to address improvement opportunities for increasing bakery sales
  • Coordinate and implement local marketing initiatives
  • Implement plans to improve franchise operating profit across portfolio as directed by the Regional Director
  • Attend in-person production process reviews (e.g., recipe compliance)
  • Conduct in-bakery reviews of actual production vs. production schedules
  • Attend Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews as required and contribute to discussions to ensure outputs align with in-bakery actions
  • Monitor and ensure bakeries meet standard expectations, and implement with franchisees actions
  • Comply with all relevant OH&S policies
  • Other projects and tasks as required

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A high-energy, positive attitude with the ability to quickly develop trust and meaningful relationships
  • 1-2 years' experience in operations, preferably in a franchise retail environment
  • 2+ years' experience in customer service
  • 1-2 years' experience in the food service, hospitality or franchise industry
  • Baking experience required
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel frequently and spend time 'in the field' rather than behind a desk
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to influence others in order to affect change and drive constant improvement
  • Can work autonomously, as well as collaborate and work within a team environment
  • Excellent communication, problem- solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong attention to details
