The Technology Center of Excellence (CoE) serves as SGC's enterprise technology organization, bringing together geospatial intelligence, aerial intelligence, data engineering, analytics, artificial intelligence, enterprise applications, automation, and digital innovation to support every business service line. The CoE develops scalable, repeatable technology capabilities that enhance client delivery while improving internal operations and driving long-term strategic growth. This role reflects SGC's transition from a standalone technology business service line to an enterprise-wide Technology Center of Excellence.
Position Overview
The Director, Technology Center of Excellence (CoE) is a newly created position that provides strategic leadership for Simeon Global Consulting's enterprise technology organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director is responsible for defining and executing the company's technology strategy while ensuring technology serves as a competitive advantage across every business line.
The Director leads multidisciplinary teams responsible for Solution Architecture & GIS, Aerial Intelligence, Data Engineering & Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Enterprise Applications, automation, and emerging technologies. The role provides executive oversight for technology governance, innovation, technical quality, resource management, and organizational capability development.
Working collaboratively with executive leadership, the Director ensures the Technology Center of Excellence develops repeatable solutions, establishes enterprise technology standards, supports strategic growth initiatives, and delivers innovative technology solutions that improve both internal operations and client outcomes.
Technology Center of Excellence (CoE) Mission
To deliver enterprise technology leadership by integrating geospatial intelligence, aerial intelligence, artificial intelligence, enterprise applications, automation, advanced analytics, and digital innovation into scalable, repeatable capabilities that improve operational excellence, client outcomes, and long-term organizational growth.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute SGC's enterprise technology strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Lead the Technology Center of Excellence as the organization's central technology and innovation function.
  • Serve as the executive technology advisor to the Chief Executive Officer on technology investments, innovation, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.
  • Develop multi-year technology roadmaps supporting company growth and operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Organizational Leadership
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams across the Technology Center of Excellence
  • Build high-performing technical teams through recruiting, coaching, succession planning, and professional development
  • Establish organizational standards for technical quality, consistency, and delivery excellence
  • Promote collaboration across Emergency Management, Environmental Impact Solutions, the Project Management Office, and future business units.

Technology Governance
  • Establish enterprise architecture, technology governance, and technical standards.
  • Ensure consistency across software development, GIS, analytics, AI, enterprise applications, and automation initiatives.
  • Develop technology policies, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
  • Promote secure, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions.

Innovation & Solution Development
  • Lead development of reusable technology products, accelerators, templates, and proprietary intellectual property.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to enhance client service delivery.
  • Drive adoption of artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, enterprise applications, and geospatial technologies.
  • Sponsor innovation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and create competitive differentiation.

Client Delivery
  • Provide executive oversight for technology-enabled client engagements.
  • Ensure technical quality and consistency across all technology deliverables.
  • Support complex client projects through strategic technical leadership and solution design.
  • Assist project teams in solving complex technical and operational challenges.

Business Development
  • Support strategic capture efforts and proposal development.
  • Participate in executive client meetings and technical presentations.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with technology vendors and industry partners.
  • Identify new technology-enabled consulting opportunities across all business lines.

Operational Management
  • Manage Technology Center of Excellence staffing, budgets, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Monitor organizational performance using measurable technology and operational metrics.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of technical resources.
  • Continuously improve operational processes and technology delivery methodologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, GIS, Geography, Business Technology, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise technology, consulting, digital transformation, GIS, engineering technology, or software development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Experience establishing enterprise technology governance and standards.
  • Experience delivering technology solutions for government or regulated industries.
