Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Operations team. Reporting directly to the Divisional Vice President (DVP) of Operations, this role will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of data analytics, and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.


Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in forecasting and demand planning by analyzing historical data and market trends.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by maintaining and validating datasets.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within operations or supply chain.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and SQL; experience with Python or R is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the electrical supply or distribution industry is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
