Job description

Anderson University is seeking an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach that will also serve as an Athletics Operations Assistant.
As the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach, the successful candidate will have responsibilities for recruitment of prospective student-athletes, master the use of recruiting software, engage in scouting/video breakdown and assist in game plan development, and with all aspects of practice and game preparation as assigned by the head coach. They will also assist in monitoring student-athletes' academic progress. Other duties as assigned by head coach.
The Athletics Operations Assistant Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to, assist the Director of Athletics with specific sport game day operations and concessions, select student employee supervision, transportation, and fundraising activities.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree (required); a master's degree is preferred. Also required are previous coaching experience (collegiate preferred); a clear understanding of NCAA III philosophy and the student-athlete experience; ability to recruit in Indiana and contiguous states; ability to work as a part of a team environment; a demonstrated commitment to the Anderson University mission and Christian lifestyle. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate with a diverse student body, faculty and staff, effective problem solving skills and personal initiative.
Candidates should have belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith as interpreted through the historic witness of the Bible and the contemporary ministry of the Holy Spirit. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application.
