Job description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists as a supervisor over surgical service attendants. Assists all operating room personnel with support services in all areas of the operating room. Is usually assigned to one specific shift and unit, but may be required to work other shifts. Carries out general and specific housekeeping activities essential to keeping the operating room facilities clean and orderly. Maintains good guest and working relations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must read, write and speak English, must be able to understand written and oral instructions, keep records, and do simple arithmetic. Six months of practical experience in operating room functions is required. Must pass an exam on sterile technique with a score of 75% or better. Training in CPR and operating room procedures is preferred.
