Job description

OnSite Service Technician opportunity in Fort Worth Texas


Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (note: this is an onsite field position, she schedule may be adjusted based on the customer facility operations hours or project needs. Occasional weekend support may also be required.


The On-site Service Technician is responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated production equipment at customer facilities. This role requires hands-on technical work, travel to customer sites, and communication with customers to ensure equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimized. Entry-level candidates who are mechanically inclined and willing to learn are welcome to apply, as training may be provided.


OnSite Service Technician Key Responsibilities

•Install and commission automated production equipment at customer facilities

•Perform preventive maintenance, inspection, and routine service on equipment

•Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic control issues

•Repair or replace faulty components and restore equipment operation

•Conduct functional testing after installation, maintenance, or repair

•Provide on-site technical support and respond to service calls when equipment issues occur

•Document service activities and prepare clear service reports

•Coordinate with internal teams and equipment manufacturers when needed

•Maintain service tools, spare parts, and work equipment in good condition

•Follow all safety procedures and customer site requirements


Required Qualifications

•Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field

•0–2+ years experience in equipment installation, maintenance, repair, or field service preferred

•Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical or electrical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

•Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical systems

•Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings

•Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

•Ability to travel to customer sites as required

•Language: English required


Preferred Qualifications

•Experience with automation equipment, industrial machinery, or production equipment

•Basic knowledge of PLC or industrial control systems

•Experience supporting manufacturing environments

•Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

•Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams

Travel & Work Conditions


•This is a field-based position primarily supporting customer sites in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

•Most service work is local, and technicians typically return home the same day.

•Occasional travel within Texas may be required based on customer needs.

•Personal vehicle may be required for business travel

•Per diem will be provided for approved business travel according to company policy.


Working Conditions

•Work is performed at customer manufacturing facilities and industrial environments

•May require lifting tools or equipment and standing for extended periods

•Occasional overtime or urgent service support may be required depending on customer production needs

•Will provide Electrical / Mechanical basic training, tools operation skill for newcomer.

•Selective good performance engineer to train in oversea and extend capability.
