     Mission Statement
North Shore School District 112 is a transformative learning organization where curiosity inspires minds, innovation shapes the future, and students, staff, and families engage to create a kind and connected community that is committed to excellence. 


General Description:

The Steam Club Sponsors are responsible for recruiting 4th and 5th grade students interested in being in STEAM Club and helping them prepare for STEAM Day in May. Responsibilities include:

  • Plan meeting dates and times for the club
  • Communicate with students and their parents regarding club expectations
  • Explain the STEAM project expectations to students
  • Facilitating students as they explore a topic of interest in the area of science, technology, engineering, art and/or math.
  • Serve as a mentor and facilitator of learning.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate STEAM Day in May 2026

Work experience requirements:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.

Stipend: $40/hr (up to 32 hrs/person)in accordance to the NSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
