Job description

Overview

Our affiliate, Unified Women's Healthcare of North Carolina, is looking for a Hospitalist/Nocturnist Physician to join their prestigious Women's Health Care Center in Raleigh, NC. Join a compassionate group who provide a team-based approach to patient care. Every member of our staff is focused on making the patient experience individualized and meaningful.

About the Practice:

The clinical team consists of 9 physicians and 1 nurse practitioner. The practice has been serving women in the Raleigh Metro area for over 80 years. All deliveries and GYN surgeries are done at the University of North Carolina Rex Hospital in Raleigh (UNC Rex). UNC Rex is a top-notch facility that has a Level 4 NICU unit, women's health subspecialist physicians, and the da Vinci robotic system for specialized GYN surgical procedures. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join an excellent group of physicians in a growing area and a great hospital system. Looking for a physician who wants to work several hospital call shifts per week and focus their career on Labor & Delivery.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide in-house coverage for Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic inpatient services.
  • Perform emergency gynecological surgical care as needed.
  • Hospital shifts will be at the University of North Carolina Rex Hospital in Raleigh. UNC Rex has a Level 4 NICU unit, women's health subspecialist physicians, and the Da Vinci robotic system for major surgical procedures.
  • Full-time position of 2-3 14-hour call shifts per week. 1 weekend of call per month.
  • Part-time options with some schedule flexibility.
  • Hospitalist can expect to perform about 20-25 deliveries per month.
  • Call is shared with another practice.
  • Competitive compensation and group malpractice coverage.
  • Full benefits package available for a full-time position.
  • $30K commencement and $30K retention bonus for full-time.

City/Location Highlights:

  • Raleigh, N.C.'s reputation is on the rise for outdoor activities and action sports in a capital-city setting (Men's Health magazine recently named Raleigh the third sportiest city in America). With a wide variety of ways to get out and get active from hiking trails to golf courses to hidden kayaking spots, it will not be hard to find a way to keep busy!
  • When it comes to a good time, the Raleigh, N.C. area knows no limits. Just outside the city of Raleigh are the neighboring towns and unincorporated areas that make up Wake County. There are 11 towns in all, each just minutes away from Raleigh. Each has its own story, charming visitors with historic downtowns, tree-lined main streets, concerts in the park, golf course communities and one-of-a-kind boutiques.

This position offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package that includes health/dental/life/vision insurance, short and long-term disability, malpractice insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) plan. Our medical affiliate is a drug-free workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.
