Job description

Client Overview:
Our client is a growing apparel and accessories company specializing in private label product development for major retail accounts. They are currently looking to add a Product Developer to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
Up to $80k
Position Overview:
The Product Developer will support the development of kids' accessory products for retail accounts. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and organizational skills, and experience with kids, juniors, or private label apparel/accessories is preferred.
Responsibilities of the Product Developer:
  • Support the development and merchandising of children's accessory products.
  • Communicate with overseas factories regarding sample updates and product revisions.
  • Review samples and provide product feedback/comments.
  • Assist with sourcing, costing, and production coordination.
  • Partner with internal teams to support client meetings and presentations.
  • Track development timelines and help ensure deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production teams.
  • Annual overseas travel to factories.
Required Experience/Skills for the Product Developer:
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in product development, merchandising, sourcing, or production coordination.
  • Comfortable in a client-facing environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Product Developer:
  • Exposure to costing, sourcing, or sales support.
  • Experience working with overseas factories.
  • Background in private label or off-price retail.
  • Accessories experience is a plus, but not required.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required based on experience.
