DevOps Engineer

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Clearance: Active TS/SCI + FSP

Experience: 7 to 20+ years

Salary Ranges:

  • 7 yrs or more with BS: 140k to180K
  • 14 yrs or more with BS: 180k to235K
  • 20 yrs or more with BS: 225k to 275K

Description:

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our software engineering team and help streamline our software delivery processes while maintaining high availability and performance of our infrastructure. In this role, you'll work closely with the development team to automate, build, deploy, and monitor systems that support scalable applications. You'll be responsible for designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, provisioning infrastructure with automation tools, and troubleshooting issues in our cloud environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with containerization, cloud platforms, and scripting to improve system reliability and efficiency. You will contribute to improving our DevOps processes and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives across the project. This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical foundation and a passion for building resilient, automated systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps or related technical roles.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud environments and infrastructure tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience with the Atlassian, Gitlab or similar CI/CD toolsuites.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of Linux and Unix systems (e.g. RHEL).
  • Experience working with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
