Cyber Security Cross Operations Systems Engineer V (SE5)
Salary: $180K based on education and experience
Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance w/ FS Poly
Location: FT. Meade, MD
Education: A Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, Engineering or other related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems
engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of
experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience
would also be acceptable.
Certifications: DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
or higher is required.
Job Description: As a Cyber Systems Engineer you will provide support for Enterprise
Information Systems (EIS) developmental and production environments for multiple
operating systems (e.g. Windows, Solaris, and Linux). Maintain system performance
statistics and metrics.
Experience/Individual Capabilities Required:
•Experience in applying systems engineering and integration support to a large
Agile/DevOps environment.
•Designing, architecting, building strategic infrastructure plan.
•Formulating life cycle replacement plans.
•Re-architecting enclaves, ensuring systems are current and up-to-date.
•Provide strategic infrastructure planning and scheduling.
•Must be familiar with VMware, Storage, Network, system accreditation, security
compliance, Windows Server, RHEL, CentOS, Splunk, Cloud Director, Horizon View,
and infrastructure support tools.
Experience/Individual Capabilities Desired:
•Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
•Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting to complete assigned
tasks within expected schedule to complete.
•Flexible/easily adaptable within a dynamic work environment that may require surge
efforts
