Job description

Edwards, Inc. is a full-service industrial general contractor providing constriction, fabrication, and crane services. We operate one of the largest fleets of road ready hydraulic cranes in eastern North Carolina and South Carolina. We are currently seeking a Crane Operator to work out of our Spring Hope, NC location.

The Crane Operator will be responsible for:

  • Operating the crane in a safe manner per job site requirements.
  • Assisting in setting up of the crane.
  • Conduct a safety check each day before operating the crane.
  • Monitoring crane stability and load weights.
  • Making minor repairs if necessary to the machinery.
  • Communicating any issues or problems to the supervisor immediately.
  • Keeping reports and documentation of necessary information.
  • Perform all other additional assignments.

Ideal Candidates Should Have:

Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to:

  • Continually walk/stand on surfaces which may be even/uneven, stable/unstable, and varying compositions.
  • Work in awkward spaces and/or positions including confined spaces and climbing.
  • The ability to routinely lift up to 81+ pounds and push up to 60 pounds.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, depth perception and peripheral vision.

Essential Requirements & Skills:

  • Class A CDL License
  • Clean Driving Record
  • NCCCO Certification
  • Minimum of one year of verifiable operating experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to safety.
