Job description

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (Packer) - Daylight to join our team in Middlesex, NC!
This role will work 4 10-hour shifts from 6 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday.
The hourly rate for this position is $21.47 per hour.

What you'll do:
The Machine Operator (Packer) is responsible for inspecting and packing of hoses, removes defective products, maintains records and the manufacturing/production area to comply with regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures. They ensure timely and accurately complete computer transactions.

In this role, you will:
• Inspect and measure dimensions of tubes to verify conformance to specifications using appropriate measuring tools
• Assemble boxes.
• Cut hose ends and defects.
• Make labels for hose and boxes.
• Cut and submit samples to Quality Lab according to instructions given in a timely manner.
• Proof test hoses
• Use overhead hoist to move hose around cell
• Use coiler to pack hose neatly in box
• Record footage of each coil and place in box accurately.
• Put finished product to appropriate areas on facility floor
• Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area
• Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings
• Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, etc.).
• Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, CI events, etc.
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices
• Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.
• Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.
• Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Leadership Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience using computers
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with computer transactions in ERP system
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing
