About this Role
NorthStar Energy Solutions is seeking a Safety & Onboarding Trainer to join our team in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. This role is essential to the onboarding process, ensuring new employees across both Gas and Power divisions are trained, informed, and compliant from day one. The ideal candidate will bring experience delivering engaging training sessions, a strong understanding of the utility industry, and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse workforces.
What You'll Do
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and compliance training for incoming employees across both Gas and Power business units
  • Clearly communicate company policies, job-site expectations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
  • Deliver training content to effectively support a diverse workforce
  • Collaborate with Safety, HR, and Operations teams to align onboarding content with current company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all required training is completed, documented, and properly tracked for compliance
  • Continuously improving training delivery based on feedback and evolving company or industry needs
  • Assist with onboarding logistics, including scheduling, training materials, and follow-up documentation

What You'll Bring
  • HS Diploma/GED is required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus for this role
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry
  • 1-2 years of training experience, ideally in construction environments
  • OSHA 500 certification
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to lead group sessions confidently and clearly
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic digital tools used for learning management or training tracking
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple onboarding sessions
  • Must be comfortable with 15% travel
