Opportunity Overview
Team Overview:
Join a high-impact Government Relations function that is shaping the firm's voice in the public policy arena. The Political Action Committee (PAC) team plays a critical role in positioning Edward Jones as a strong and active advocate for policy changes by enabling compliant, transparent, and strategic political engagement. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale a growing PAC, partner with senior leaders and external stakeholders, and contribute directly to how the firm develops relationships with policymakers across the country.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the firm's PAC, ensuring all activities align with regulatory requirements, internal governance, and strategic priorities. You will collaborate across government relations, legal, compliance, finance, and external partners to execute fundraising efforts, oversee contribution strategy, and deliver clear, data-driven insights to leadership. In addition to PAC management, you will support other strategic projects within the Policy, Regulatory, and Government Relations team. This may include preparing presentations, drafting briefing materials, and supporting broader firm and External Affairs objectives.
  • Oversee daily PAC operations, including contribution processing, tracking, and reconciliation
  • Coordinate and execute political fundraising events, including receptions and campaign engagements
  • Partner with Government Relations leadership to support PAC strategy, disbursement planning, and election cycle preparation
  • Manage PAC databases, reporting tools, and external PAC management software vendors
  • Produce and deliver accurate reporting, including FEC filings, internal summaries, and executive-level presentations
  • Develop data visualizations using Excel and PowerPoint to communicate PAC performance, trends, and forecasts
  • Support PAC solicitation campaigns, including planning, tracking participation, and reporting results
  • Partner cross-functionally with legal, compliance, finance, payroll, and communications teams to ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal requirements
  • Contribute to ongoing PAC development, including building processes, enhancing reporting, and supporting executive committee initiatives
  • This role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with responsibilities that extend beyond standard business hours, including evenings for fundraising events and receptions. Limited travel may be required.

Position Requirements
What You'll Need:
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in political science, communications, economics, business, or a related field
  • 1+ year of relevant professional experience required; 3+ years preferred
  • Experience working with federal elected officials, political campaigns, party committees, or trade associations
  • Knowledge of Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations applicable to corporate PACs
  • Proven experience administering or supporting a corporate PAC program, including fundraising and disbursement activities
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including data analysis, forecasting, and visualization
  • Experience managing budgets in alignment with established policies and internal controls
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. federal political and election process, including campaign finance reporting
  • This role is on-site based in Washington, D.C. (Capitol Hill) and requires regular in-office presence to support stakeholder engagement, events, and collaboration with internal and external partners

Salary Information
Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program.
