Job Description:

The Lobbyist will play a crucial role in shaping and advancing our clients' legislative and regulatory goals at the federal and state levels. This position involves developing and implementing lobbying strategies, building relationships with key policymakers and stakeholders, and staying abreast of political developments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new leads for lobbying engagements.
  • Develop and execute effective lobbying strategies to influence legislation and public policy in favor of our clients' interests.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members of Congress, regulatory agencies, and other government officials.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to clients' industries.
  • Prepare and present persuasive materials, including briefs, presentations, and reports to support lobbying efforts.
  • Represent AxAdvocacy and its clients at meetings, hearings, and other events.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to organize lobbying campaigns and events.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local lobbying laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Government Affairs, Political Science, Public Affairs, Law, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in lobbying, government affairs, or a closely related field.
  • Deep understanding of the legislative process and political landscape.
  • Strong network of contacts in government and industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of influencing public policy and achieving legislative goals.

Salary plus commission compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and book of business.
