Health Plan Enrollment Representative
Sacramento, CA 95833

  • Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00)
  • Schedule: Hybrid with travel | Day shift, intermittent on-call hours | 52 weeks | Open Enrollment meeting volume-based schedule

SUMMARY/DUTIES:

  • The Health Plan Enrollment Representative will support the Sales & Account Management Team as an Open Enrollment Specialist for Sutter Health Plan
  • This hybrid role requires travel to assigned locations, including SHP sites for material pickup and drop-off, Benefit/Health Fairs, Wellness Events, and Open Enrollment Meetings
  • Responsibilities include educating employers, prospective and existing members, and brokers on benefits and plan offerings, answering questions, and representing the health plan in a professional and engaging manner
  • The schedule is intermittent and on-call based on Open Enrollment assignment volume, so flexibility and availability are required
  • This role requires health insurance knowledge, HIPAA awareness, strong customer-facing communication, and the ability to work independently across multiple event locations

 
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with open enrollment, benefits, sales, or health plan member education
  • Knowledge of the health insurance industry and benefit plan offerings
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and customer confidentiality requirements
  • Ability to travel to different Sutter Health Plan sites and event locations as assigned
  • Ability to attend Benefit/Health Fairs, Wellness Events, and Open Enrollment Meetings
  • Experience engaging with employers, prospective/existing members, and brokers
  • Ability to answer customer questions clearly and professionally
  • Availability for intermittent, on-call hours based on Open Enrollment meeting volume

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior sales experience in a health plan, benefits, or insurance environment
  • Prior open enrollment support experience
  • Friendly, engaging, and self-starting communication style
  • Experience supporting Sales & Account Management teams
  • Ability to manage material pickup/drop-off at SHP sites
