Licensed Benefits Enrollment Representative

Location: Remote US
Employment Type: Contract through approximately March or April 2027
Schedule: Full-Time | Assigned shift between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Central Time
Anticipated Start Date: September 8, 2026
Interview Process: One interview

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Benefits Enrollment Representative to support employees with voluntary benefits enrollment through a high-volume contact center. This position will handle approximately 20–35 inbound calls per day, explain available benefit options, and help callers identify benefits that fit their individual needs.

This is a customer service and benefits education position with no sales responsibilities. The ideal candidate is patient, professional, and comfortable explaining insurance and benefit information clearly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle approximately 20–35 inbound calls each day.
  • Assist callers with voluntary benefits enrollment.
  • Explain benefit options, coverage information, and enrollment procedures clearly and accurately.
  • Help individuals understand which available benefits may fit their needs without using a sales-based approach.
  • Answer questions while following established insurance, compliance, and customer service guidelines.
  • Navigate multiple systems while speaking with callers.
  • Accurately document customer interactions, enrollment information, and actions taken.
  • Protect confidential personal and insurance information.
  • Escalate complex questions or issues to the appropriate team.
  • Meet expectations for call quality, productivity, attendance, and schedule adherence.
  • Participate fully in training, mock calls, nesting, coaching, and ongoing development.
Required Insurance Licensing

Candidates must:

  • Hold an active Life and Health Insurance license.
  • Provide a valid National Producer Number (NPN) so licensing can be verified.
  • Be actively licensed in both Florida and California before being considered for an interview.

Candidates selected for the position must also obtain licenses in:

  • Michigan
  • New York
  • Indiana

Additionally, selected candidates must obtain licenses in at least three of the following states:

  • New Jersey
  • Massachusetts
  • Ohio
  • Connecticut
  • Maryland
  • Pennsylvania
  • Virginia

Candidates are responsible for the cost of obtaining the additional required state licenses.

Training and Work Schedule

Training: September 8–September 28, 2026

  • 7:45 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Central Time
  • Full attendance is required.

Nesting: September 29–October 9, 2026

  • 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Central Time
  • Mock calls will take place September 29 and September 30.

Production: Beginning October 12, 2026

  • Assigned schedules will fall between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Central Time.
  • Candidates must be available to work their assigned shift within this timeframe.
Qualifications
  • Active Life and Health Insurance license with a verifiable NPN.
  • Active licenses in Florida and California.
  • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain insurance and benefit information in a clear, easy-to-understand manner.
  • Comfortable handling a steady volume of inbound calls.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Accurate documentation and data-entry skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to complete the required training schedule.
  • Patient, professional, and comfortable assisting individuals with different needs and questions.
Additional Information
  • Equipment will be shipped to the selected candidates.
  • Contractors will follow the contact center’s standard work and holiday schedule.
  • The team is scheduled to leave early on Christmas Eve and will be off on Christmas Day.
  • The team will be off on Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday.
  • The assignment is expected to continue through March or April 2027 but may end earlier based on call volume, business needs, attendance, or performance.
