The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Ange-les'Â third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.Â

Manager, Venue Planning & Operations:Position Summary:The Broadcast Integration (BRS) Team's aim is to support the Olympic Broadcasting Service (OBS) in the preparation and planning of the most seamless, innovative, and engaging Games experience ever for their athletes, team officials, and delegation members. Â
The BRS teamis responsible fordelivering high quality facilities and services to the Media Rights Holders and the Olympic Broadcasting Service to ensure the best possible media coverage of the Games to the widest possible audience. This team liaises closely with OBS to manage planning processes related to broadcasting the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This includes agreeing procedures, hostingmeetingsand workshops, conducting surveys - all of which are developed andestablishedin full coordination with OBS and LA28 Broadcast Services. In addition, the Broadcast Services team is the main point of contact with the other LA28 functional areas concerning all broadcast matters. Such matters include the successful delivery of all infrastructure at competition venues and the International Broadcast Center to enable the coverage of the Games and the delivery of services to OBS and media rights holders to support their operations - such as accommodation, accreditation, transportation, information, technology, technical support, warehousing, permitting, medical services, and other services at Games time.Â
Reporting to the Senior Director of Broadcast Services, the Manager, In-Venue Broadcast Planning and Operations will support the Venue Operations team in liaising with the OBS and LA28 functional areas on all broadcast planning matters and ensuring that all requirements are met for the successful coverage of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role focuses on the planning and integration of OBS broadcast requirements into LA28 venues. Successful candidates will be comfortable working cross-functionally to communicate requirements for Games-time broadcasters and aligning internal stakeholders to integrate those requirements into venue design and operational plans. To progress planning, this role will collaborate across all internal departments, external stakeholders, partner entities, and consultants to enable and deliver all broadcast services to OBS and Games-times broadcasters in the lead up to the Games Period and throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games.Â
Key Responsibilities:Coordinate Contact for OBSÂ
- Manage communications with OBS and its Production and Planning teamsÂ
- Facilitate and support venue site surveys for OBS production teams and Media Right Holders
- Liaise with OBS and the LA 28 functional Areas to address venues-related broadcast needsÂ
- Assist in planning and delivery of all World Broadcaster Meetings & Briefings
- Manage the exchange of information and timely submission of deliverables to OBS
- Support Media Rights Holders with their implementation plans, ensuring alignment with venue infrastructure
- Understand, review and optimize all broadcast delivery requirements with OBSÂ
Management & Oversight of all Broadcast Services at LA28Â
- Work with all LA28 functional areas on in-venue broadcast matters
- Oversee all milestones and deliverables for broadcast with LA28 functional areas, the Olympic Broadcast Service (OBS), IOC, IPC and Media Rights Holders (as appropriate)Â
- Support all infrastructure and technical planning for broadcast services, including venue development of broadcast areas at competition venues and non-competition venues
- Assist in coordinating with local delivery partners to ensure readiness of broadcast venues for handoff to OBS and Media Rights Holders at Games time.Â
Cross-Functional CollaborationÂ
- Establish strong working relationships with key Functional Areas (e.g., Venue Infrastructure, Venue Management, Technology, Hospitality & Ticketing, Sport, Games Operations)
- Ensure broadcast planning and services align with broader cross-functional timelines and objectives
- Collaborate closely with Ticketing and Hospitality teams, particularly within the Seating Bowl Working Group, to address broadcast needs
- Work with OBS, IOC, and IPC to gather requirements, secure strategic alignment, streamline approvals, and identify optimization opportunitiesÂ
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably with 7+ years of experience in broadcast production, management, coordination and operations for the sport or live event industryÂ
- Experience working international broadcast organizations providing global coverage Â
- Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and proven success at building excellent working relationships
- Experience working across multiple functional areasÂ

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000-115,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.Â
