LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are on a singular mission to create an Olympic and Paralympic Games that celebrate all that this city and country have to offer, delivering an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners and our community.
The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles' third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.

Position Summary
The LA28 Sport Presentation team will deliver an electrifying Games experience across one of the most iconic Olympic and Paralympic host cities in history.
The Associate, Sport Presentation will serve as the primary support to the Senior Director, Sport Presentation, functioning as a trusted operational partner across all phases of planning and Games-time delivery. This role requires a highly organized, proactive professional with a strong understanding of live event production and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
This is an evolving position and responsibilities may shift as planning progresses toward Games time. Titles may be adjusted periodically to accurately reflect the scope of responsibilities.
This role reports to the Senior Director, Sport Presentation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the day-to-day operational support for Sport Presentation
  • Support the full planning and delivery lifecycle from early-stage development through Games-time execution

  • Oversee scheduling, coordinating logistics, and managing communication between departments to ensure seamless execution and deliver an exceptional audience experience

  • Support priorities, communications, and follow-up actions, ensuring key deliverables and deadlines are tracked and met across the functional area

  • Coordinate and prepare materials for internal and external meetings, including agendas, PowerPoint presentations, briefing notes, and follow-up documentation

  • Maintain and manage functional area documentation, tracking tools, and organization of digital work management systems, ensuring all Sport Presentation documents are current, accurate, and accessible

  • Support cross-functional coordination between Sport Presentation and other LA28 functional areas including Broadcast, Sport, Victory Ceremonies, Accreditation, Accommodations, Transport, Event Management, Technology, Logistics, Workforce, and Protocol

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Sport Presentation planning documents, including master schedules, key dates calendars, and operational timelines

  • Support recruitment and onboarding coordination for Sport Presentation staff, contractors, and volunteers as directed

  • Attend venue walkthroughs, planning meetings, and test events as required, capturing action items and supporting follow-through

  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and reports for internal leadership, International Federations, IOC, IPC, and LA28 stakeholders

  • Support Games-time operations across assigned venues as directed by the Senior Director

  • Assist with special projects as required

Background and Requirements
  • Degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in sport management, event production, business, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in live event production, sport presentation, sports administration, or a related field

  • Olympic and Paralympic experience a strong asset

  • Advanced proficiency required in Smart Sheet, SharePoint, Google Workspace (including Google Sheets and Google Drive), Gemini, Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data tracking), and PowerPoint (deck design, formatting, executive-level presentations)

  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing professional documents, briefings, and presentations

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leadership and across multiple functional areas in a complex organizational environment

  • Discreet, professional, and able to handle confidential information with sound judgment

  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office

  • The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment

  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment

  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods

  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games

The annual base hourly range for this position is $30.29 - $35.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
