Salary Range: $25.00 To $31.00 Hourly

The Olympic Club is hiring for Golf Player Development Professional to join our Golf Operations Team. At The Olympic Club, our members enjoy 2 campuses, 19 sports, world-renowned golf courses, exceptional social and athletic programs as well as 18 hotel rooms and 5 Food & Beverage outlets. Our City Clubhouse is located one block from Union Square and within easy walking distance of the Powell Street BART station. Our Lakeside Clubhouse sits next to the ocean on the border of San Francisco and Daly City.

The Olympic Club offers employees free golf on Mondays at our Lakeside campus and a variety of sports and social events for employees throughout the year as well as lunch and dinner provided every day.

Position Summary:

Assist the Director of Player Development with junior programs and all golf instruction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Club fittings, basic club repair, overseeing demo program, all custom orders and marketing instruction programs to the Club membership.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Assists with all instruction including but not limited to: camps, clinics, personal lessons, boot camps, etc. for Olympic Club members
  • Assists in overseeing, developing and instructing junior programs
  • Oversees and is responsible for all golf club fittings and club repairs. Trains and supervises golf professionals on standards of golf club fittings and basic club repairs. Sends clubs out for additional/complex repairs and ensures clubs are returned to members when completed in a timely manner
  • Oversees Club Demo Program including scheduling, communications and day-of oversight
  • Communicates to membership about instruction programs through regular and timely updates to olyclub.com website, website blogs/articles/videos, submissions to Olympian Magazine, other communication options as determined by the Club
  • Abides by all federal, state and local laws and regulations, Olympic Club policies and procedures, Bylaws and House Rules.
  • Regular attendance required based on business expectations and needs
  • Any other duties as assigned and/or requested by Club management

Qualifications Required:

  • TPI Level 1 certified or able to complete certification within first 90 days of employment. (Individual will not be able to provide lessons until the TPI certification is completed.)
  • Certified Club Fitter
  • Working knowledge of Trackman. Able to complete certification within first 90 days of employment
  • Knowledge of V-1 Video Swing Analysis
  • Previous golf instruction experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Experience in website updates, etc.
  • Strong English oral and written communication skills
  • Willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of employment
