IAM (OKTA) Developer

Location: Plano, TX

The Identity Access Management (IAM) Okta Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining authentication scripts and login pages for client's access management solutions including, but not limited to, Single Sign On & Federation, Directory Services, Multifactor Authentication, and Web Access Management. The person is also responsible for automating the Infrastructure builds and writing reusable cookbooks for applications to move to modern authentication standards such as OpenID Connect, OAuth etc. The person must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment on highly complex requirements. Hands on coding experience is a must.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Experience with implementing Identity Broker Solution with Okta
  • Design, develop and maintain Synchrony's custom access management login pages and scripts
  • Develop strategy for modernizing authentication capabilities for legacy applications.
  • Develop reusable cookbooks for SAML, OAuth, OpenID integrations.
  • Develop automated build processes for Access Management code releases using Jenkins/GIT and create a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Successfully transition support and knowledge of new developments/enhancements/automated builds to Synchrony's SSO operations and engineering teams
  • Provide expertise for IDaaS API usage.
  • Provide engineering integration support for application authentication and authorization.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Implementation experience with SSO and federation using SAML 2.0, Oauth, OIDC.
  • Self-Directed, High Energy.
  • Ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced agile development environment.
  • Excellent oral/written communication & listening skills will be necessary to present information, analysis & recommendations to all levels of employees, including senior engineers and managers.
  • Hands on experience in designing, developing and deploying cloud-based solution using AWS.
  • Understanding of core AWS services, uses, and basic architecture best practices.
  • Experience supporting Apache and WebLogic.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Understanding of Microservices Architecture.
  • Power shell scripting and Perl experience
