Role: Devops Engineer
Mode: Hybrid.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Linux systems, Amazon EMR, and modern infrastructure as code (IaC) tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud services, DevOps automation, and enterprise integrations, particularly with Okta and Active Directory (AD). This role is critical to the design, deployment, and management of secure, scalable, and high-performing data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and administer complex Linux environments with 10+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain AWS DevOps solutions including EMR, EKS, and Serverless architectures.
  • Configure and manage EMR clusters, integrating with Okta AD Groups for role-based access control.
  • Work with AWS Lake Formation, Parquet file formats, and ETL/data processing tools like IBM DataStage.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Implement and manage Okta API integrations and support Okta-based application provisioning.
  • Set up and troubleshoot Jupyter notebooks with SparkMagic in EMR/EMR Serverless environments.
  • Collaborate with security and identity teams on Centrify and Active Directory configurations.
  • (Bonus) Work with AWS SageMaker and other AWS data science and analytics tools.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Linux system administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, especially EMR and related services.
  • Strong background in DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Okta, AD integrations, and identity/access management.
  • Proficiency in Terraform/Terragrunt, Python or Bash scripting, and infrastructure security.
  • Knowledge of data lake architecture, big data processing, and associated AWS tools
