Job description

  • Own the long-horizon systems domain roadmap alongside the IT Architect
  • Lead resolution of the most complex systems operational issues as the Tier 3 escalation point, including root cause analysis and permanent remediation
  • Architect, engineer, and optimize the Citrix environment, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), StoreFront/Workspace, and MCS/PVS provisioning
  • Manage image lifecycle, session performance, and capacity planning
  • Design and drive automation of systems provisioning, patching, and configuration using PowerShell and infrastructure-as-code approaches
  • Define systems hardening, backup, and disaster recovery standards, including DR validation testing, supporting HIPAA and HITRUST requirements
  • Represent OO IT in strategic vendor discussions for systems platforms and cloud services
  • Establish and enforce systems standards across managed practices
  • Mentor systems engineers and administrators
  • Advise IT leadership on long-term systems technology direction and roadmap
  • Partner with Projects on precedent-setting systems deliveries and standards evolution
  • Coordinate with the Network Engineer III on integrated systems and network solutions
  • Participate in the on-call rotation
  • Travel occasionally to practice sites as needed
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the mission of improving the lives of people living with cancer
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 10 or more years of progressive systems engineering experience, including MSP or multi-site healthcare scale
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Healthcare-related experience strongly preferred
  • Expert-level certifications strongly preferred, including Citrix CCE-V or CCP-V, VCAP/VCDX, AZ-305, or Okta Certified Consultant
  • Enterprise systems architecture skills across compute, virtualization, backup, cloud, and identity
  • Architect-level Citrix expertise: CVAD/DaaS design and administration, Citrix ADC (NetScaler) including Gateway and load balancing, profile management (FSLogix/Citrix Profile Management), MCS/PVS image management, and advanced session performance troubleshooting
  • Expert-level Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy engineering
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills; PowerShell required
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and HITRUST requirements as they apply to systems infrastructure
  • Deep expertise across multiple systems specialties with a principal specialty
  • Executive-facing communication skills
  • Strong influence without authority across leadership and peer teams
  • Working understanding of networking sufficient to guide integrated enterprise architecture
  • Attendance is an essential job function
  • Experience with VMware/vSphere, Microsoft Azure, Okta, Veeam, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, and Citrix Analytics/Director is a plus
