ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
  • Understands the project specific BxP workflows, TradePartner BIM Alignment strategies and assists VDC leadership in managing the successful execution of the project specific BIM/VDC workflows.
  • Under the guidance of VDC Leadership manage the BIM Coordination process from project conception through construction to meet the project specific BIM/VDC goals.

  • develop & manage 3D models for use in the project's coordination. Including the projects site/underground, above ceiling MEP-FP systems, Building Envelope and/or our Self-Perform Concrete models.
  • Develop 3D federated models for integration into
  • Manage project coordination schedule to assure coordination achieves the intended significant project
  • Provide training to Okland field and office teams, design partners and trade partners as needed.
  • Help assure 3D coordination process and outcomes are understood and executed by all project partners.
  • Work with Okland field team to assure coordination outcomes are achieved in the field.
  • Work with Okland surveying team to assure project Trade Partners can execute laser layout in the field to match the Coordinated project model outcomes.
  • Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as BIM/VDC lead and perform services on projects under the direction of VDC Leadership.
  • Manage and facilitate the coordination process across trades and
  • Participate in the research, development and execution of new technology implementations.
  • Plan, schedule, and implement project specific BIM trainings.
  • Be involved in the community with local BIM organizations.
  • Track and report to VDC and project leadership on BIM service progress, budget, constraints and schedule/resources.

YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture or similar is preferred.
  • Engineering Degree focused on Building systems may be considered.
  • Additional industry experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of increasing responsibility in a BIM and/or a VDC focused role.
  • 3D Coordination with project partners is a plus.
  • Experience in the commercial construction industry and specifically with BIM software is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with IPD, Design Assist and/or Design/Build projects is preferred.
  • Experience with Design and/or Construction teams is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of design and/or construction processes.
  • Demonstrated strong 2D and 3D graphic skills.
  • Strong understanding of 2D design and construction documents.
  • Ability to read and understand information found in design documents, plans, and specifications required.
  • Experience working with BIM models during 3D Coordination is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with construction coordination and specifically integrated construction coordination preferred.
  • Working knowledge of BIM software including Autodesk Revit and/or Navisworks is required.
  • Understanding of construction processes and trades (e.g., mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
