Labcorp is seeking a Director, Global Security Systems & Technology position to join our team!

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST

This position is HYBRID: Applicants who live within commutable distance of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility

Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership & Technology Governance
Define global physical security systems strategy,
standards, and policies across the enterprise.
Establish lifecycle management programs for all
security technologies, including upgrades,
maintenance, and optimization.
Ensure alignment of security technology initiatives
with corporate strategy and budget guidelines.
Maintain deep awareness of emerging security
technologies and industry best practices.
Security Systems Implementation & Operations
Lead the implementation, integration, and ongoing
management of physical security systems globally.
Oversee coordination, installation, upgrades, and
servicing of access control, video surveillance, alarm
systems, and related technologies.
Serve as the primary escalation point for critical
security system incidents and outages.
Develop and maintain operational processes to
ensure consistent system performance and
compliance with standards.

Data, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Drive the use of data AI analytics across security
platforms, including access control logs, VMS data,
and incident management systems.
Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to
support risk-based decision-making.
Identify opportunities for automation and process
improvement through technology and data insights.
Support enterprise risk assessments through system
data and analytical capabilities.
Vendor & Program Management
Lead vendor strategy, including RFP development,
vendor selection, contract negotiation, and
performance management.
Manage relationships with system integrators and
technology providers to ensure service quality and
system reliability.
Conduct product evaluations, feasibility studies, and
quality assurance reviews for new technologies.
Ensure minimal business disruption through effective
vendor oversight and system resilience planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with OIS, IT, Facilities, and Security
Operations to ensure seamless integration of physical
security systems.
Support construction and design efforts through
collaboration on architectural plans, system design,
and commissioning.
Contribute to annual budgeting and capital planning
for security systems.

Support audits and compliance initiatives, including
access control reviews and system governance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in physical security technology programs within a global enterprise
    environment or Associates degree with 12+ years of same experience or High School or GED with 14 years of same experience required
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% and 10% internationally required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, PMP,
  • NICET or relevant security technology
  • certifications
  • 8+ years of prior experience managing global vendor relationships and complex system implementations.
  • 8+ years knowledge of IT infrastructure,
  • cybersecurity considerations, and SaaS/cloud-based
  • security solutions.
  • 6+ years experience with platforms such as Genetec
  • (VMS/ACS) and visitor management systems (e.g.,
  • Envoy).
  • 6+ years knowledge of Revit/CAD workflows and
  • experience working with architectural and security
  • design documents.
  • 6+ years experience in life sciences, healthcare, or
  • regulated environments.

Director, Global Security Systems & Technology

The Director, Global Security Systems & Technology
is a strategic leader within Labcorp's Global
Corporate Security organization responsible for the
design, implementation, and lifecycle management
of enterprise physical security technologies. This
role establishes the global strategy for security
systems and data-driven security solutions,
ensuring alignment with corporate risk objectives,
operational needs, and technology standards.


This individual serves as both a strategist and
execution leader, providing expert guidance on
security systems architecture, vendor selection, and
service delivery while partnering closely with, OIS,
IT, Facilities, and Security Operations. The role also
drives innovation through data analytics, system
integration, and continuous improvement across
access control, video management systems (VMS),
emergency communications, and incident
management platform
