• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to address diverse mental health concerns.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental and emotional health, identifying their unique needs and creating comprehensive treatment plans.
• Implement personalized treatment strategies based on therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's situation, ensuring they receive individualized attention and care.
• Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, utilizing sound judgment and experience to guide clients through acute distress.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, offering resources and tools to foster understanding and support.
• Maintain secure, accurate client records in compliance with legal and ethical codes, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all documentation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including medical doctors and social workers, to offer integrated care that holistically addresses client needs.

This role centers around a diverse patient population, including individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds, age groups, and cultural identities. As a counselor, your empathy and understanding will contribute significantly to their healing journeys. • A Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is essential for this role.
• Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut is required.

• A background in crisis intervention and management is highly favorable, equipping you to support clients in acute situations.
