Position Overview

Advent Health Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker to enhance our remote care team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide critical mental health services from the comfort of your own home, while making a meaningful impact on patients’ lives in our hospice center setting in Kansas City, Kansas. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough client assessments to evaluate mental health status and develop tailored treatment plans that reflect individual needs and preferences.
  • Facilitate individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and psychiatrists, to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, thereby advancing overall treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular supervision and participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance your skills and stay informed of industry best practices.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients as needed, ensuring they receive immediate attention during critical situations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily include individuals and families navigating end-of-life transitions, alongside those dealing with chronic illnesses and mental health issues. Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in Kansas or eligibility to obtain licensure is mandatory.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical social work experience, preferably in hospice or mental health settings.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
