The Mailroom Supervisor is responsible for managing the processing of United States and interdepartmental mail, as well as processing mail, parcels and packages handled by United Parcel Service, Federal Express and similar shipping services.
  • Supervise the staff of the mail room in the performance of their duties and evaluate as prescribed by the facility and corporate policy.
  • Receive, sort, distribute and deliver incoming and interdepartmental mail, parcels and packages.
  • Process certified and registered mail.
  • Compute postage rates and meter out-going mail and packages.
  • Inspect mail received by inmates/residents for contraband, in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of mailroom operations experience is required.
  • One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, observation skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications or other similar software applications is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
