Job description

Job Title: Technician Trainee - Intern Gas

Location: Seattle, WA

Compensation: $22- $23 per hour

Position Summary:

As a Seasonal Intern supporting administrative and data operations, you play a key role in ensuring accuracy, organization, and efficiency across multiple functions within our operation. You will collaborate with program leaders and field teams to review data, maintain documentation, and assist in creating clear, standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across our organization while getting real-world experience working with regulatory compliance, environmental studies, and ESRI data.

This role is ideal for someone who is detailoriented, organized, and eager to learn how a fastgrowing utility services company manages information and operational workflows. Unlike field roles, this position is primarily officebased and focuses on data accuracy, document creation, and process improvement.

Benefits:

  • Weekly Pay
  • 30/60 Day evaluations
  • Company provided laptop and necessary office tools
  • Opportunities for professional development and cross department learning

Primary Responsibilities:

Administrative Support

  • Organize digital and physical documents, ensuring accurate filing and version control.
  • Assist with scheduling, email correspondence, and internal communications.

Data Review & Quality Assurance

  • Review incoming project data for accuracy, completeness, and formatting consistency.
  • Identify discrepancies and coordinate with field teams or supervisors to resolve issues.
  • Enter and maintain data in internal systems, spreadsheets, and project databases.

SOP Creation & Documentation

  • Draft, edit, and format Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflow guides.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure procedures are accurate and easy to follow.
  • Maintain document libraries and ensure all materials meet company standards.

Reporting & Support

  • Assist in preparing reports, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting processes and recommending enhancements.
  • Support program leaders with roles and responsibilities to ensure deadlines are met, and field crews have all the tools and supplies needed to be successful.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Some college with civil services, environmental studies, or project management courses.
  • Licensure: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Technical Aptitude: Proficient with technology, including smartphones, tablets, and mapping/GIS software. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Power BI, Tableau, and basic data tools
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organization skills and the ability to maintain accuracy across multiple tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills for drafting SOPs and internal documentation. Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and communicate clearly.
  • Safety Compliance: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana) and background check; subject to DOT random testing.

Work Environment Considerations

This role is primarily office-based, working in a professional environment with standard business hours. Tasks may involve extended periods of computer work, document review, and collaboration with team members. Occasional project deadlines may require flexibility.

Driver Qualifications:

Because all personnel may be required to operate company vehicles at any time, maintaining driver's eligibility is mandatory. A valid driver’s license is considered an essential function of employment. Failure to obtain or maintain driver's eligibility may affect employment status and/or eligibility for certain job assignments, unless given a Human Resources accommodation.
