About the Nurse Residency Program
Lakeland Regional Health (LRH) promises to treasure, nurture and inspire all our newly hired and transferring new Registered Nurses through a comprehensive, learner-centered one-year Nurse Residency Program. The program supports the successful transition of the new nurse into a professional role in an acute care setting in one of the following patient care areas:
• Acute Care Services (Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Palliative, Orthopedics, Nephrology) • Intermediate Care Services (Medical, Cardiac, Trauma, Neuro/Stroke) • Critical Care Services(SICU, TICU, MICU, Neuro)• Emergency Services (Main ED, Pedi ED) • Behavioral Health Services (Mental Health ) • Women's and Children's Services (Pediatrics, Pediatric ED, Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, NICU) • Perioperative Services (OR, PACU)*• Cardiac Cath Lab*
*Please note that that Perioperative Services and Cardiac Cath Lab positions require a 30 minute call expectation.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Associate Degree in Nursing completed in advance of start date.
Nonessential:
* Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Education equivalent experience:
Essential:
* Nursing: If hired after 2013, must obtain Bachelor degree in Nursing within 3 years of employment date.
Pay: $38.06/hour for <1 year of licensed RN experience. BSN and shift differentials also apply.
Other information:
This program is for all newly graduated and/or Registered Nurses with 12 months or less experience working as a Registered Nurse.
The Nurse Residency Program hiring events will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd. If selected for the program, candidates will receive offers approximately 2 business weeks following the hiring event. Cohort start dates will be Monday, October 19th and Monday, November 16th.

Licenses Essential: Current license as a Registered Nurse in Florida must be obtained by October 16th (October start date) or November 13th (November start date).
Certifications Essential: BLS for Healthcare Providers (Following AHA guidelines)
