About Snow College:
Snow College is a public 2-year college with campuses in Sanpete Valley and Sevier Valley in central Utah. Our students come from around the world, but we primarily serve seven counties in the area. The campuses are a few hours from the cities of northern Utah in one direction and five stunning National Parks in the other direction.
Description:
Snow College is seeking qualified assistant coaches to help with various sport teams on campus. Teams include Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, and Softball. This position may instruct PE courses as well.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Be familiar with the sport you will be the assistant coach of.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Canvas, and video breakdown.
  • Basic knowledge of Hudl software program.
  • Ability to interact with students and administration.
  • Ability to recruit and develop relationships with high school programs.

Major Responsibilities/Duties
  • Be a role model and mentor to students.
  • Work with the head coach to accomplish the day-to-day operation and administration of the program.
  • Recruit high-quality student-athletes. Off-campus recruiting travel to games, recruiting fairs, and schools as directed by the head coach.
  • Work with high school coaches to attract student-athletes to Snow College.
  • Organize and supervise out of season work for student-athletes.
  • Supervise and monitor the academic progress of the student-athletes.
  • Teach adjunct classes in the Physical Education department.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

362 PART-TIME EMPLOYEE PRIVILEGES

Definition.
A part-time adjunct faculty member is employed at less than 75% time annually and teaches at least one credit hour or more.
A part-time staff member is employed at less that 75% time annually. The employment time is three continuous months at an average of 15 hours a week.
Student hourly employees are exempt from the part-time privileges of this policy.
Privileges.
Upon authorization by the hiring department, part-time employees as defined under this policy will be issued a Snow College Part-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card at the time of hire. The card entitles the holder to all of the privileges associated with a Full-Time Staff/Faculty Identification Card including, but not necessarily limited to, general admission or discounted prices for athletic and cultural events; Snow College library card issuance; computer network, Web, and e-mail access; bookstore sponsored discounts; and other discounts associated with the ID card at either campus. Supervisors have the right to terminate the privileges at any time during the fiscal year.
Non-inherent Privileges.
Privileges of full-time employees such as, but not necessarily limited to, college parties or gatherings, professional development activities, office/computer/telephone access, current expense budgets may be provided to part-time employees only at department discretion.
