THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 3 Sr. Hardware Engineer with a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance to work from an OCONUS location.
This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.
The Hardware Engineer, Sr position supports the operations and maintenance of a large scale RF Communication systems operating 24x7. Will be part of a multi-contractor team of hardware and system engineers located at a OCONUS site. Position requires a 2yr commitment on site beginning upon initial relocation, with possible travel to other CONUS locations required prior to that date. Selectee will possibly perform pre-deployment training and preparation at several Washington, DC area LM programs. Personnel selected for this position are required to work flexible schedules to provide on occasion after hour and on-call support.
Primary responsibility will be to provide on hands technical expertise and direction of tasking to Operations and Maintenance support personnel across multiple large, integrated, complex hardware-software communications system in a real-time environment and on a daily business.
Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance support across multiple external interfaces over a robust multi-tiered network.
Daily activities may include, but are not limited to:
Discrepancy report generation
Work off and resolution
O&M training/mentoring
Trending
Procedure development
Data collection
Fault isolation
Performing real-time manual actions to restore system capabilities.
Assist contractor and customer meetings by attending, participating, and/or leading.
The development of troubleshooting/recovery plans and execution of associated management and customer briefs may also be required.
Participation in corrective maintenance will require remove/replace, repair, and testing failed hardware. Candidate will work closely with onsite HW engineers to provide support for discrepancy work off, installation efforts, and special test configurations.
